Gas heat and A/C inspection, system off on arrival, test ran system in heat, inducer fan amps. .8, glow bar 3.5 amps, indoor fan amps 4.1, flame current 3.9 uamps, temperature rise 62 degrees, factory spec 40-70 degrees. Test ran cooling, compressor run load amps factory spec. 14.8, actual 8.4 , outdoor fan full load amps factory spec. .8 , actual .7, voltage enhancement system factory spec 35/5, actual 34/4.9 delta t 18 degrees operational within factory specifications at this time. Complete system is 20 years old do not recommend any repairs due to the age, locked front door and set comfort control to off.

Outdoor unit voltage enhancement system read 4.4/33.25 which is below allowable fault. The FLA read 0.6 with a factory setting of 0.95 and the RLA read 4.4 with a factory setting of 10.9. No debris in unit, everything looks clean. Unit normal operation at this time. Indoor unit has a supply of 134 with a 82 return and 52 heat rise. In emergency heat the supply is 116 with a 82 return. Voltage enhancement system read 10 with a factory setting of 10. Air filter was replaced, customer supplied they have 0 left. Blower wheel was dirty, cleaned and recommended a duct cleaning to keep blower clean and due to debris on bottom of return duct. Blower wheel spins without restriction and the bearing is tight. Cleaned the EZ trap and visible ductwork looks fine. Electric heat strips read 20 amps on each wire. Performed operations test by turning unit off at thermostat, turning unit on, lowering temperature and raising temperature.

In cooling has a supply of 48 with a 70 return and a 22 delta. Voltage enhancement system read 10 with a factory setting of 10. Blower wheel and compartment look good with the blower wheel spinning without restriction and the bearing is tight. Board had no burn marks on it and wiped down some of the wires, connections tight. Cleaned dust off of pan and checked coil, a little bit of dirt but functioning fine will clean in spring. Pan looks good, installed pan treatment. Wiped down exterior of unit and cleaned EZ trap, ductwork looks good too. Outdoor unit voltage enhancement system read 4.9/43 and is within allowable fault. Connections were good too and normal operation at this time.

In cooling the indoor unit has a supply of 54 and a return of 73 with a 19 delta. In heating the supply is 115 with a return 79 with a 45 delta. The voltage absorption system read 10.2 with a factory setting of 10 and is within allowable fault. Blower wheel looks good and spins without restriction and the bearing is tight. Air filter was recently changed, recommend checking at the end of October. Heat exchangers look good with no burn marks. Evaporator coil looks good and the pan looks good too. Outdoor unit voltage absorption system read 4.9/34 with a factory setting of 5/35 and is within allowable fault. There is some debris inside unit but drain holes are clear.

22-year-old Bryant natural gas furnace and 22-year-old Bryant indoor coil and condenser. Cooling - The outdoor ambient temp was approximately 80 degrees. Replaced the extremely dirty air filter with one provided by the customer. It needs to be replaced more often. The cool supply air was 51 and the room temperature return air was 71 for a Delta T of 20. Cleaned the indoor coil and purged the water removal system's discharge tube with CO2 to prevent clogs. Measured 6.8 Amperes on the air circulation system and its voltage enhancer had a correct uF charge. Verified the circuit board and wiring were in good condition. The refrigerant pumping system's run amps were 11.75 (RLA is 24), the start amps were 10.1, and the air exhaust system's amps were .55 (FLA is 1.4). Confirmed the outdoor board, blades, disconnect, wiring, and voltage distributor were in good condition. The latter had a normal 242 Volts through it. The voltage absorption system read 3/28.6 with a factory setting of 3/35 and is below allowable fault. Outdoor unit disconnect tightened.

Warranty new install, off on 3 red flash at the Coresense Module, short cycling trip, reset Module and test ran unit, compressor run load amps 13.5, actual 5.3, outdoor fan full load amps .95, actual .8, suction 116, liquid 274 with 9 deg sub-cooling, installed compressor saver kit so the compressor has a softer start-up. Supply line voltage 246.7 vac.

Checked the air filter and it's ready to be changed, return air for main return was 68. Voltage absorption system reading 10.1 with a factory setting of 10 which is within allowable fault. The blower wheel and compartment look clean and the blower wheel spins without restrictions and the bearing is tight. Coil was dirty and had black growth on it, cleaned it with non caustic chemical, recommend UV light. Outdoor unit voltage absorption system reading 4.9/43.6 with a factory setting of 5/45 and is within allowable fault. The FLA read 0.6 with a factory setting of 1.1 and RLA is 6 with a factory setting of 14.1. Outdoor unit was cleaned and the disconnect screws were tightened.

Call back (no cooling) on an install from a few weeks ago. Upon arrival the air circulation system's amps were 2.9. Outside, found the unit had tripped (high pressure switch) due to its wires rubbing and grounding out the system. The system ran for 30 minutes before leaving. The liquid pressure was 280 and its line temp was 81 for an SC of 12. The vapor pressure was 120 and its line temp was 65 for an SH of 24.

Indoor unit supply 51 with a supply of 68 which is fine. Air filter needs to be changed, voltage absorption system running 10 with a factory spec of 10. Blower wheel looks good and coil too. Recommended pan treatment. Outdoor unit voltage absorption system running 4.9/33.7 with a factory setting of 5/35 and is running below acceptable levels. The FLA is 0.6 with a factory setting of 1.1 and RLA is 4.6 with a factory setting of 13.5 which both are to fine.
